Ⅰ. JSUT Overview
Jiangsu University of Technology (JSUT) is situated in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, an ancient city with a written history of over 3,200 years. It is located in the center of the Yangtze River Delta, halfway between the two metropolises of Shanghai and Nanjing, with superior location conditions. Changzhou is named asNational Civilized Cityand the Most Innovative City in China: for its pleasant climate, booming economy, social stability and harmony, convenient transportation and beautiful living environment.
Founded in 1984, JSUT is a master's degree-granting unit. The university was evaluated with "Excellence" in the undergraduate teaching assessment implemented by the Ministry of Education. It was listed inthe first batch of National Key Vocational Education Construction Bases of Teachers Training, and also among the inaugural group of Decision-making Consultation Research Bases in Jiangsu Province. The University, with a building area of more than 500,000 square meters, has over 20,000 full-time undergraduates (including international students),nearly 1,300 master's degree students, over 100 international students with academic qualifications(undergraduates and postgraduates), and nearly 1,700 faculty staff. JSUT offers 64 undergraduate majorsand 14 authorized master's degree programs, which forms a distinct pattern of engineering-oriented and coordinated development with multiple disciplines.
JSUT vigorously implements a strategy of internationalized development, actively absorbing advanced international educational thoughts, standards and resources. It highlights characteristics of international cooperation and exchange by focusing on the implementation of Sino-German cooperation programs and successively establishing cooperation relationships with over 70 universities, educational and research institutions in more than 20 countries and regions, including Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Kazakhstan, etc. Currently, the university enrolls international students from more than 40 countries and regionsalong the “Belt and Road”, including Russia, Morocco, South Africa and Indonesia.
In recent years, JSUT has accelerated the construction of software and hardware for international students’ education, and has built well-equipped andfunctional international student teaching buildings and apartment buildings, and has endeavoredto create a beautiful studying and living environment. The university has adjusted the major settings to meet the needs of international students, selected an outstanding teaching faculty, improved the curriculum system, and continuously enhanced thequality ofcultivation for international students. International students have won many awards in the National College Students' English Speech Contest and Chinese Classics Recitation Contest.

Non-degree Programs
Language training program:The duration of study time is usually one year.This program aims to cultivate international students' abilitiesin Chinese listening, speaking, reading and writing, and improve their Chinese language proficiency and cross-cultural communication skills.
Short-term Culture exchange program: Only for students from foreign universities which have established cooperation with JSUT.
Ⅲ. Application Requirements
BasicRequirements
Be non-Chinese citizens,hold valid foreign passports, be friendly to China and have no criminal record. In principle, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
Be in good physical and mental health condition in compliance with theForeign Students Physical Examination Standards issued by the Ministry of Education(registration will not be granted if the physical examination fails upon arrival at campus).
Abide by the provisions of the law of the People’s Republic of China and the regulations of the university, and respect Chinese custom and traditions.
Have good English or Chinese proficiency level.
Applicants for undergraduate programs are generally between the ages of 18 and 25; Applicants for a master's degree must be under 30.
Academic Background
For Master’s Program, applicants must have obtained bachelor degree or above.
For Non-degree Program and Bachelor’s Program, applicants must provide a high school diploma or above.
For Upgrading to Undergraduate Program, applicants must provide obtained a junior college diploma.
Have some basic mathematical skills to apply for majors of economics
and engineering and basic art skills for majors of art.
Language Skills
Chinese language instruction: Applicants applying for Chinese language instruction must provide HSK-4 certificate (score 180 or above).
English language instruction: Non-English speaking applicants applying for English language instruction must provide proof of TOEFL or IELTS scores, with an IELTS score of 5.5 or above or a TOEFL score of 60 or above, or pass an English test organized by the school at the time of enrollment.

Ⅴ.Application Procedures and Admission
Step 1: Applicants submit before July30, 2025application fee (¥500) as well asthefollowing materials:
1. Application Form for International Student of JSUT (word and PDF);
2.For Master's Degree Applicants:①Undergraduate diploma, bachelor'sdegree certificate, and academic transcripts (all officiallystamped)②Research proposal (minimum 1,000 words) ③Tworecommendation letters covering the applicant’s academic capabilitiesand comprehensive performance, signed by recommender holdingassociate professor or higher positions.
For Undergraduate and Language Foundation Program Applicants:
Highschool diploma and academic transcripts (both officially stamped).
For Upgrading to Undergraduate ProgramApplicants: Junior collegediploma and academic transcripts (both officiallystamped).
3. Scanned copies of passport personal information page.
4.Foreigner Physical Examination Form, uniformly printed by the Chinesehealth and quarantine department, must be completed in English. The form will be invalid if with incomplete items, without sealed photoof the applicant orwithout the signature and seal of the physician and the hospital;
5. Recent white-background ID photo (digital) with no hats.
6. Nocriminal record.
7. Bank certificate of deposit (at least USD5,000).
8. Language proficiency certificate: Applicants from non-English speaking countries who apply for English language instruction must provide the English proficiency test scores; Applicants who apply for Chinese language instruction must provide HSK-4 certificate (score 180 or above).
9. Formal authorization from parents or guardian is required if applicants are under the age of 18, and the authorization letter should be notarized.
10. Documents to show applicants’ academic and daily performance from school (Applicants from other universities in China have to provide the documents).
11.Transcripts of university entrance examinations from the country of origin (if
any).
12. The most recent visato Chinaor residence permission in China (if any). If
the concealment of experience in China affects the enrollment and registration, applicants shall bear responsibility by themselves.
Step 2: JSUT reviews materials and appoints video or telephone interview.
Step 3: Applicants check admission status, applicants who pass the interview
willreceive the Pre-admissionLetter.
Step 4: Prepay the accommodation fee of ¥3,000 within two weeks, and send thescanned copy of the remittance receipt with your name and passportnumber toadmission@jsut.edu.cn.
Step 5: Applicants check the Admission Letter, JW202 Visa Application Form,registration instructions and other emails sent by JSUT.
Step 6: Upon receiving the documents, admitted students apply for a study visa(X1 visa) at aChinese embassy or consulate abroad,prepare to enter China, andinform JSUT of your itinerary.Within 30 days after entry, those who have not completed all registration procedures and have not applied for a study residence permit will be dismissed from the school.
Step 7: Arrive in the university on time and register on the designated date according to AdmissionLetter.Those who fail to come to the school on the prescribed date without special circumstances will not be registered by the school.
Step 8: JSUT check the validity of applicant’s original materials and process registrationprocedures for qualified applicants.
Notes:
1.Anyone who failsto provide the above materials at the time of registration or the materials are false, applicants will be disqualified fromenrolling in the university.
2. If the original applicationmaterialis in a language other than Chinese or English, a Chinese or English translation version from an officialtranslation agency must be attached.

Ⅶ. Scholarship
1.JSUT President Scholarship forInternational Students
Students are eligible to apply for the scholarship when studying in JSUT. The qualifications in the first academic year will be assessed according to the admission conditions. After the end of the first academic year, the university will conduct a comprehensive evaluation according to the students' academic performance and overall performance. The amount of this scholarship to this student in the next academic year will be assessed in accordance with the relevant regulations. This scholarship can be directly deducted from tuition fees.

2.Jiangsu Government Scholarship (Excellent Student Scholarship)
Jiangsu Provincial Government establishes “Jiangsu Government Scholarship”for excellent international students who apply to undertake degreeeducation in Jiangsu universities and colleges from overseas. Specific policies shall be implemented according to related rules and regulations of Jiangsu province and JSUT.
3.JSUT Scholarship for AdvancedLanguage Freshman
The scholarship is mainly used to reward freshmen who have excellentscores in English or Chinese for academic education at JSUT and it will be issued one-time in the first academicyear. Those who apply for English-taught courses with IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 80 or above are eligible for it; those who apply for Chinese-taught courses with HSK Level 5 or above are eligible for it. The amount is¥2,000/person. Language certificates need to be provided at the time of application, and will not be recognized if provided after enrollment.
4. JSUT Academic Scholarship for Outstanding InternationalFreshmen
This scholarship is mainly used to reward freshmen with excellent academic performance. The scholarship will be evaluated based on the students' academic performance when application and will be awarded monthly according to the overall performance of the students in the first academic year. The number of scholarship winners for undergraduate students shall not exceed 30% of the total number of applicants. Each academic year is calculated based on 10-month period.

5.JSUT Scholarship for Excellent International Students
The university provides students with JSUTScholarship for Excellent International Students from the second academic year. According to the relevant management regulations of the school, the scholarship will be evaluated based on the comprehensive performance of students during their school years,in order to encourage them to study hard, striveforexcellence so that their creative spirit and practical ability can bestimulated andcultivated.
